Hi!

If you want do make certain "annoying" parts of your dvd inaccessible, which method is best to use:

1. delete the cells in question?

OR

2. delete/change the references to the cells?

I guess that strange things can happen if you do number 1, but i want to be sure.

Thanks!

I'm not sure what change the references to the cells means.

When you delete a cell from a PGC, you do not really delete the cell from the DVD, because a cell is just a reference to objects in the VOB files (called VOBU).

Delete the cells is a good solution BUT if the cell is in a title PGC, the cell must be replaced by a blank cell (click right in the cell table, then Add Blank Cell) because a title PGC must never be empty. If you have already added a blank cell in a other PGC in the same VTS, you can reuse it.

At the end, if a cell is not referenced any more, it can be really deleted by emptying the trash.

Hi!

As you see i'm still learning, and I have already learned that a Dvd is quite complex Smile.

With references i meant the calls and jumps. I'll give it another go and this time i'll replace the deleted cells with blank cells. The problem is that the stuff I want to delete doesn't appear sometimes, even when i'm in the debug mode. I guess I'm doing something the wrong way.

Thanks for your advice.
