Hello. I am having problems with a workout DVD created in iDVD that I would like to distribute. It plays fine in a normal DVD player, but acts oddly in a blu-ray player. Upon insertion into a blu-ray player, the menu and DVD work fine. However, if the disk is stopped and/or the player turned off, the screen that comes up next is a black screen with the options "TITLE 1", "TITLE 2", through "TITLE 5". The DVD is a DVD-R. Is there a way in myDVDEdit to fix the DVD so that it will just return to the start-up menu when the DVD is stopped and then started again?
Thanks for any help,
Christine Renee

ps- I also created the DVD in Toast 11 and had the same problems...

I don't think the problem comes from the DVD, but from the player.
Some players react differently depending on the type of DVD.
If the DVD is pressed, the player know that is a commercial DVD and starts automatically.
If the DVD is burned, it's a personal DVD and the player waits an action from the user.

There is no option in the DVD to change that.

Look at the player configuration if some parameters could be changed.

Thanks for the reply. I didn't mention that when I burned it with a blu-ray plug-in onto a DVD-R (in Toast 11), the menu did work correctly, so I thought it was something in the authoring. It's not a great option for a fix, however, because the picture quality was quite poor being that it wasn't shot in HD. I was hoping there were some commands I could add to the original DVD to make it work. I will look into the player settings. Merci beaucoup.
