No Post Cmds makes myDVDEdit looping
-----------------------------------ó

This dvd9 has at VTS3 pgc1, five Pre cmds, 1 cell, and 0 Post cmds.

When running in debug mode, executes the pre cmds, displays the cell prgm, and then goes in loop. The dvd plays fine with Apple DVD player.

Hereís the keys to press:

Enable debug mode

press go to next cell button (displays blank prgm cell)

press go to next cell button (displays language selector)

press enter (selects english language)

and then arrives to VTS3 pgc1 and canít go ahead!

Apple DVD player instead goes ahead and displays VTS9 pgc1

(P.S. when opening this movie with myDVDedit, it also displays an error panel saying:
Errors have been found and fixed:
File VTS_05_0.VTS: Bad last IFO sector number.

(VTS5 is the main movie)

IFO and some VOBs (the smallest) emailed to you.

When there is no post command, the DVDPlayer stops (Apple DVD Player do it) except, like in your case, if the NextPgc field is set. In this case, the program must continue to the first pre command of the NextPgc.

myDVDEdit didn't do it. I fixed that.

Thanks Steele, I wouldn't have found the problem without the DVD files.

Thanks, Jerome for the quick reply. I'm happy you find useful my posts.

Never noticed the NextPgc in the information tab! What do you think of placing it in the post cmds tab, so it may be hilighted when executed?

Also, I've read the documentation, but don't understand the PrevPgc number: when it's executed exactly? When I press the previous button on the remote and it's at the start of the pgc?

Cheers!

Yes, you can. May be there is a difference, but I dont know it.

Absolutely. But I didn't implement it in myDVDEdit yet.

Yes, there is a difference.

If you have only one post cmd, the Next Chapter remote control button doesn't works because the cell is the last cell of the PGC. With the NextPgc field, the player know there is a other chapter in a other PGC and jump to this PGC.

Fixed.

The next version will manage the PrevPGC and NextPGC parameters correctly (I mean, like Apple DVD Player).

curiously, calling Previous Chapter on the first cell of a PGC with a PrevPGC parameter set link to the first chapter of the PrevPGC, event if this PGC have many chapters (tested with Apple DVD Player, I must try with a other).
